LRN Packages - Overview
2023-11-14
Following are three (3) Radio Packages designed for newbies for different situations and budgets.
The fourth package is for an alternative power source that will continue to provide electricity in a grid-down situation and so can be used with any of the Packages. It can also be used to power and recharge other devices.
You should also look at setting up a faraday cage for all your electronics to protect against an EMP (electromagnetic pulse), whether natural or man-made.
All the Radio Packages are designed for use in a Local Radio Network (LRN) and are either VHF, UHF or both.
The ranges indicated are for transmision as you can receive any signal that can reach you.
Long Distance range, (ie over 50 kms) requires an HF radio. HF packages can be found here:

Some packages may require cables
