HAMnet LRN Toolkit - Intro
2023-10-24
This Guide is designed to help you establish a Local Radio Network (LRN) with your family, friends and neighbours as quickly, easily and affordably as possible.
An LRN is a group/cell/pod of mostly non-radio people (i.e. non-licensed) with inexpensive handheld radios that happen to be within walking or cycling distance of each other.
In addition, the idea is for each LRN to have someone who can connect with other LRNs to join the Inter-Local Radio Network (IRN), with reach across the country and around the world (eventually). He will have a more robust radio setup and be an experienced and licensed operator. (More info on being a part of the IRN will be made available in a separate Toolkit.)
